A Banking App for GenZ*

A banking app for GenZ that encourages positive money habits and rewards those who embrace them.

In this project, I mapped user journeys and created the UI design for a banking app targeted toward GenZ. Due to NDAs, I cannot disclose the company’s name or logo.

What did I do in this project?

  • Created a Branding Questionnaire to help the client think about their brand identity in a structured way and to make graphic design requirements clearer
  • Created logo and color palette alternatives for the brand
  • Designed brand identity template
  • Held regular meetings with the client to understand their business needs and get feedback on UI design
  • Presented 3 UI alternatives for the project
  • Collaborated with UI designer and co-designed app UI
  • Created an interactive prototype to demonstrate user flows
  • Produced the promo video

UI Alternatives

Three distinct visual directions were presented to the client, each reflecting a different interpretation of GenZ financial culture — ranging from minimalist and trustworthy to vibrant and gamified.

The third option was selected and iterated with a new color palette, creating a design that felt both fresh and credible.

User Flows & Prototype

486 frames were designed to create a prototype that represented the final product as closely as possible. The high-fidelity prototype was also used as a tool to communicate the feature requirements with the development team.

Branding Questionnaire

A structured questionnaire was developed to guide the client through defining their brand identity before design work began — covering tone, target audience, competitive positioning, and visual preferences.
