Donations App
Open banking app that rounds up spending and automatically donates to preferred charities.
In this project, I managed a 3rd party development team, wrote feature requirements, and created logic diagrams to build a mobile app that connects to users’ bank accounts via Open Banking infrastructure, rounds up their spending to the nearest pound, and automatically donates to their selected charities.
App Capabilities
- Connects to the users’ bank accounts via Open Banking infrastructure
- Rounds up spending to the nearest pound
- Allows users to select up to three charities
- Automatically donates money to the selected charities while giving users the option to set donation limits, make one-off donations, and get updates about the impact their charities are making
The system also conducts KYC checks to prevent any risky or illegal transactions from taking place.
What did I do in this project?
Acted as the bridge between the client, development team, and UX partner to turn the client’s vision and feedback from users into an action plan and a product roadmap. I achieved this by:
- Turning business needs and expected user behavior into written requirements and drawn logic diagrams for stories, tasks, and sub-tasks
- Prioritizing features and tasks to create sprint plans and a development roadmap
- Acting as the mediator between all parties while keeping track of progress
