HORECA Booking Platform
Suite of web and mobile apps for restaurants, cafes and clubs to manage bookings and customers to make reservations.
In this project, I helped a startup build a HORECA Booking Platform that optimized for cost-efficiency and time to market.
Platform Capabilities
The platform allowed customers to:
- View bars, restaurants, nightclubs, services, activities, and most recent events in town
- Make many types of reservations: book tables at restaurants & night clubs, reserve time slots for services or activities, buy tickets to events, rent apartments, boats, or cars
- View their booking calendar and integrate their contacts to invite friends
- Pay for bookings and split the bill with friends
The platform allowed institutions to:
- Manage their profile and booking options
- Integrate their existing capacity management software
- Manage operation hours and capacity
- Set a minimum price for bookings
- Add extra services to reservations
- Offer differentiated areas/levels of service with differentiated pricing
- Get paid through the platform
What did I do in this project?
I advised the client about building a two-sided marketplace that is easy to build and operate with limited resources.
- Researched a suite of apps, plugins, and scripts that would provide the functionality the client was requesting
- Managed 3rd party developers to integrate existing solutions and build a cohesive platform
